LUSH Holiday Gift Ideas 2011

B3 Barista Bath and Body- The Perfect Holiday Gift for Coffee Lovers

Hey Guys! 

Two things I love, the smell of coffee and beauty products. Now, they’re all rolled into one and you can actually have coffee in your shower! It’s a great way to wake up in the morning. 

I discovered a new line of bath and body products called B3 Barista Bath and Body. A whole bath and body product line dedicated to coffee and it’s delicious smell!  

 B3 products are formulated with organic coffee, coffee extract, essential oils and herbal extracts to maximize the therapeutic benefits of coffee.  These formulations use pure essential oils for fragrance rather than phthalates (which I guess are bad for you). 

The products I tried recently are the “Perk it up” shampoo and the “Soothe those jitters” conditioner. So, I thought how great can these really work? Will they make my hair soft; will they really smell like coffee? The answers are YES and YES!!!

These smell JUST like a coffee shop, the rich delicious smell when you’re making a fresh pot of coffee or you walk into a coffee house. The shampoo especially is so strongly coffee scented that you BETTER like coffee to like these! The other amazing news is that they really leave my hair super soft and easy to comb through. Often times, I use two conditioners because some don’t get my hair soft and tangle free, but this really does the job and smells scrumptious!

Take care of your hands- China Glaze and Barefoot Venus!

Hey Guys!

You know what time of year it is… the beginning of dry skin season.  Fall is my favorite time of year, but it’s also the time that a lot of people start getting dry skin and start to feel a little under the weather with the sudden chill in the air. Great Deals; Great Products Spring 2011 Body & Skin Edition

Hey Everyone!

You are beautiful. Remember that today. I think the most beautiful people are those who are comfortable with who they are, thoughtful and kind to others, and think of others before themselves. Some things that I wanted to share today are some products that are inexpensive, but great finds that I feel like anyone could love!

The first is the Reviva Labs Vitamin E stick. You can get this for about 4 dollars. I love this because it is soft and creamy and hydrating and you can use it on your lips, cuticles, eyes, cuts or scrapes, anywhere that needs healing and moisture. Next product is the Spongeable Anti-cellulite Body Wash in a Sponge. I have written about Spongeables many times before. Lush: Hottie Massage Bar and Daddy-O Violet Shampoo Review

Hey Guys!

First things first… today is my sister’s birthday!! Happy Birthday Jess! Love you bunches and bunches.

I have written about a couple of Lush products before. Lush is the fresh handmade cosmetics line that is known for the bath products! I recently tried the Hottie Massage Bar. It definitely has a great shape for a massage …the little bumps within it prove that. Here is a photo:

This bar is infused with black pepper, vanilla and ginger. It smells absolutely delicious. I was very excited about using this but have to say that the bar doesn’t last very long. The bumps were used up within about 3 uses which left me with just a flat massage bar. Also, the bar leaves a somewhat sticky greasy feeling on the skin. I think it is supposed to leave a hydrated almost “lotioned up” feeling on your skin which it does. My skin didn’t feel dry after using this but it felt a little sticky. I didn’t like that.

The positives of this bar are its delicious smell and the cute design which massages your skin in the first couple uses. But, the sticky feeling and how long it lasted were not positives in my opinion.

The other product I recently tried was the Daddy-O violet shampoo. I love violet shampoos for keeping my hair bright and vibrant. This did not disappoint.  

I love the packaging, name and smell of this!! The first thing that was very apparent was the rich lather that you get with it and the absolutely amazing violet smell. I wish all of my shampoos smelled this good. I absolutely LOVE the smell of violet.

There is lemon and lime juice in this product which help add a glossy shine to the hair. This product is for someone with grey or blonde hair and want a brighter color!

The only downside to the Daddy-O shampoo is the price. It is $27.95 for a 16.9 fl oz. But, this is really a great product. And, I really enjoyed the way it left a nice scent to my hair even after blowdrying.

Delicious Body Scrubs…

Hey!

One of the best ways to unwind and relax is to take a bath. I forgot how wonderful that is.  When I move into a home someday, one of the top priorities will be that it has a wonderful bathtub…deep, and luxurious.

I used two very delicious body scrubs. I have used many scrubs and these two remain to be my favorite because of the delicious smell. The first is Lemongrass Sugar Salt Scrub by Aromafloria. It has a very sweet lemony scent that is so fragrant and rich.

 The second  is the Espresso Mud Body Scrub by Naturopathica. This scrub smells so strongly of espresso. I love the smell of coffee and coffee shops so this espresso scent is like heaven to me. Goat Milk What?…

Hey Everyone!

I just love to find new products that I think are fantastic! It is so fun to discover beauty products that are better than  other’s you’ve tried before. The reason I say this is because I have recently been introduced to GOAT MILK STUFF. This is a company run by the Jonas Family of 10. Jim and Pj and their 8 kids. I love their concept and the fact that this is a family run business that has a really excellent product.  SOAP.

Truth is… I am not a huge bar soap lover. I’ve always preferred soap in a bottle, such as a shower gel or body wash. BUT- these soaps have changed my mind about bar soap. Here’s why:

1. The colors are all natural. They do not use dyes or synthetic colors.
2. They only use high quality essential or fragrance oils to scent the goat milk soap.
3. They use only natural fats and oils.
4. They use raw goat milk from their own farm.
5. Each bar is unique, no 2 are exactly alike.
6. They come in a variety of colors, scents and textures.
7. They look good enough to eat! (No, I wouldn’t eat them, but you get the picture…they look good! )
8. Each soap is packaged in really cute little sack.
9. You get 3 free samples with every order!

Goat Milk Stuff also has liquid soaps, lip balms and some other products. If I try any of those and find that I love them as much as these bar soaps… I will let you guys know!

I tried fragrances, Pink Sugar, Black Raspberry, Oatmeal Milk and Honey, Luv Spell and Rosemary Spearmint. I love them all. But, in particular my favorites were Pink Sugar because it smells so sweet and delicious and Rosemary Spearmint because I love rosemary and I love mint, together they make a great combination. Especially for a hand soap in the kitchen!
