My weekend in Photos- Wedding Attire, Husbands Birthday, Car Lashes and More…

Hey Guys!

Today, I wanted to wrap up my weekend by showing you some fun photos I took with all of my activities this weekend. I had a wedding on Friday that was fun to get dressed up for, a baby shower Saturday, as well as my husbands birthday celebration. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Those are my shoes, purse, nails and make up from the night of the wedding.

Dr.Seuss was the theme of the baby shower…and there were adorable sugar cookies. Next to that photo is my husband with some birthday dessert. 

And, last but not least…I saw these hilarious car lashes on the car parked in front of us at the restaurant. Isn’t that just adorable?!!!

haha… it seems perfect for someone who does “eyelash extensions”!!! But, I don’t know if I could be that daring.

Beauty And Style Oscars 2012

Hey!

I really enjoyed watching the Academy Awards Sunday night!! Most of all , I loved watching the celebrities on the Red Carpet. Here were the people the stood out to me the most as far as their overall look . 

Michelle Williams was my absolute favorite! I loved her Louis Vuitton red dress and her classic make up look and cute pixie hair. She looked perfectly put together and absolutely stunning!!

My next favorite overall look was Stacy Keibler. Although she was not up for any awards, and only came as George Cloony’s date, she did everything right as far as her dress, hair and make up. I couldn’t take my eyes of her dress. I loved the draping and how shiny it was. She wore a Marchesa gown (from the Fall 2012 collection).Photo from Trend 911.com

 

My final favorite was Milla Jovovich. I heard her say “she wanted to look like a bride”. She looked absolutely gorgeous!! This was an Elie Saab dress. I also loved her bold red lips.

Jennifer Lopez’s Style on American Idol

Hey Guys!

American Idol starts up tonight. I don’t watch a lot of TV but when I do, I love to watch reality singing shows, award shows, or anything dealing with style and beauty.

One of the main reasons I love watching American Idol is Jennifer Lopez. I used to love it for Simon Cowell smart and funny comments…but now, it’s fun to see what Ms. Lopez will be wearing, or how she will have her hair and make up. She’s a style inspiration for sure!!!

She  looks absolutely gorgeous all the time and is always switching up her hair and make up style, it never seems the same one week to the next.

My Beauty and Style Picks for the Golden Globes 2012

Did you watch the Golden Globes last night like I did? I have to say, watching the interviews before the actual ceremony is always my favorite because you get to take a look at each stars style.

Some common trends I saw from the night were:

• Nude/Fleshtone Dresses
• Fishtail or Mermaid Dresses
• Lilac lips
• and Emerald Green Accessories

Here are my picks for best dressed or overall style:

Sofia Vergara looked GORGEOUS in the blue mermaid style dress. It fits her body perfectly. Also her jewelry is simple and perfect, her make up is just right and her hair is sleek and beautiful.

Trend: Jewel Tones for Fall 2011

Hey Guys!

I have been seeing jewel tones everywhere the last month. In my latest issue of Allure Magazine there was a full-page spread of gorgeous emerald greens, citrine yellows, sapphire blues, amethyst purples and ruby reds. And, I am seeing a lot of gem stone colored jewelry in stores. Rich, bold, vibrant colors.

I think they are going to be hot for clothing, nails and jewelry this fall 2011.

Mossimo® Sojourn Style Luster Weekend Duffle Bag

Hey Everyone!

Next month Royce and I are going up to a cabin on a small getaway. I’ve been thinking that I need a “weekend” bag, a large overnighter that can fit a couple of outfits, makeup, hair stuff, shoes etc.

I was at Target this evening and saw a large duffle bag that I thought would be a perfect overnighter. It’s normal price was $39.99 and this week they are on sale for $31.99. It’s a great size, and I love that it is all black with gold hardware. It has two hand straps and a large over the shoulder strap.

Spice up Spring: 10 Quick Trends for Spring 2011

Hey Guys!

Happy April! I didn’t play any April fools jokes today and this series of trends I’m about to share is certainly not a joke. So believe me… these 10 trends are a fun way to spice up your spring!

1. Bright Bold Nails. The brighter the better, the bolder the better. It’s not about nude, don’t go for plain, try a fun color like purple or green!

2.Get Gutsy with Green. Green shades for eyes are very in for spring, try something new!

3. Add a Cool Clip! Cool hair accessories are fun for spring. Add a feather, or a geometric shape. Your hair needs accessories too.

4.  Updo with a twist or knot. For a simple hairstyle in the morning, twist your hair into a cute knot!

5.Don’t Fight the Frizz. This season the more frizz the better. Let your hair go wild and boost the volume with a “do” that is big and bold!

6.Bust out a Braid. Braids are so pretty. And, they’re in!! Try putting your hair in a loose side braid for a low maintenance look, or you can put a few small braids in the front.

7. Modify Those Glossy Lips with Matte. I think Matte lips make a woman feel powerful; it’s a more sophisticated look . If you don’t have any matte colors, take a current lipstick you own and dust it with a loose translucent powder.

8. Glam up with Glitter. Add some sparkle to your life by adding glitter to your eyes. Pop some glitter on your lids or try a glitter liner. Try anything that will shine when you blink!

9. Colored Liner Instead of Black. Try a bold yellow or orange liner instead of the usual black or brown liner this spring. After all, this season is all about color!

10. Slick Sleek Shiny Hair.  Think 80′s. Grab some gel, slick back those wispy pieces and pull your hair into a ponytail or bun.
