Inspiration Boards for Any Room Of Your Home- Lashes and Makeup

Hey Guys!

I think the springtime really puts me in the mood to be creative. Lately, all I want to do is create things! I had an empty bedroom wall that I wanted to decorate. So, I took out my magazines and cut out images of inspirational articles and photos , or just beautiful pictures that I liked that had to do with makeup or lashes. 

I put together these boards and hung them on my wall. I was then thinking, if any of you ever run into any magazine articles or photos that have to do with eyelash extensions or makeup, I would love you to send them to me, so I could expand my collages!! I find inspirational photos all the time, but coming from some of you, they would mean a lot more!!! So , please don’t hesitate- to ask me for my address if you find any you want to cut out and send to me that I could add to my makeup and lash collages!

You could do this for any room of your home with any subject you wanted, just make a collage that would inspire you . It is a much less expensive way to decorate a wall than to buy a fancy photo or piece of art.

How to Wear Neon This Spring!

Hey Guys!

Neon is HOT for spring. It’s fun, bright and bold, but they are not the easiest hues to pull off. So, if you’re a little shy but want to be trendy this spring…here are a few creative ideas of how you can incorporate Neon without going overboard and looking like a glow stick! 

1. Try a neon belt with a neutral outfit. Pair one of these neon belts with cream, khaki or even black. 

2. Pair a neutral outfit (as seen below) with a bold bright purse or clutch . It will add a pop of color to your outfit!

3. If you’re not into neon fashion, try a bold bright neon lip, or bright eye color paired with a neutral lip. 

4. The least daring of the bunch but still just as fun, wear neon on your fingernails!!!

Rain Cosmetics Conceal and Reveal & Maybelline Baby Lips in Fruit Punch

Hey Guys!

I have so many fun beauty products and spring posts planned and can’t wait to keep sharing with you guys all of my amazing beauty finds!!! How was everyone’s weekend?? I had a birthday along with my adorable niece McKinley, we share a birthday on the 17th. Here is a photo of us I took with my phone.  It was a really enjoyable weekend.

I have a few beauty items that are new recent found LOVES that I want to tell you guys about. The first is a foundation. I don’t stray from my MAC studio Fix Fluid or BRTC Jasmine Water BB cream too often, but Rain Cosmetics has a new foundation called,

“Conceal and Reveal.”  It is a new silky foundation that is lightweight and has medium to full coverage.

To me it almost feels whipped, kind of like a mousse, but with INCREDIBLE coverage while feeling soft and light on your skin.  It has an SPF 15 and comes in 6 shades. For me the Baby Doll Bisque is the perfect shade. 

It is oil free, hypoallergenic and for made for all skin types. 

I also want to point out that the packaging is very convenient. It’s a squeeze tube that allows you to really use all the foundation up. It also would be easy to throw in a purse or travel with , since it is not glass, you don’t have to worry about it breaking open. 

 

 

I am also really loving the Maybelline Baby Lips in Fruit Punch!!! I have written about the baby lips before , which are only $2.99 in your local drugstore or Target, but the fruit punch one is amazing. Right now, baby pink lips are really in!! At the Grammy’s there were so many celebrities in a light soft baby pink lip color. 

This lip product gives pretty good color for only  $2.99 , plus it is working to protect and hydrate your lips!

MY BIRTHDAY WISH…. 25 years today!

It’s my 25th Birthday today!! February 17th. Well, you might be reading this on the 16th because that is when I will post it, but for most of you, you will read it on the 17th .

I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful family. A family who has always believed in every dream and every wish I have ever had. They have always supported me through the crazy ups and downs that life takes. I am very happy to be surrounded by amazing people and married to my best friend. 

In my 25 years, I feel lucky to have gained strength and maturity while living in New York City for 3 years, spending half a year in Vancouver, BC as a newlywed, and traveling to Kenya on a mission trip last year. I want to see more, do more and most of all just try to enjoy each day one by one. 

I have gained large amounts of courage and learned a lot in the past year. I am happy to say that I am now proud owner of my own company Lovelo Beauty LLC. I am so grateful to all of you that have been supporting my beauty endeavors, and creative ventures over the years and I ask this one thing of you today on my birthday…

I have fun news. One of my favorite boutiques in the local Twin Cities Area ” Primp” is holding their 2nd annual trunk show ” Unleasehed”. This will benefit the Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue. Primp is an adorable boutique full of unique clothing and accessories that are all under $100. It’s affordable and stylish!

Primps event “Unleashed” will be March 8th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm in both store locations (st.paul and the west end) and they will be providing light hors d’oeuvres and beverages.  They will also feature “doggie bags” available for purchase for $10- full of discounts, coupons and gift certificates donated by local businesses. One lucky person who purchases a $10 doggie bag will win a free full set of mink or silk eyelash extensions from myself and LOVELO BEAUTY LLC .  

The event will provide a monetary donation to Wags & Whiskers in the amount of 10% of the culmination of sales on that date from each store as well as additional donations collected.  Primp’s Last year’s Spring Trunk Show was a huge success with over 200 attendees and a total donation of $1500 to Minnesota Life College.  This year the event is projected to double that with the additional location.

Drugstore Concealer: Physicians Formula Concealer Twin

Hey Guys!

It may seem like I’ve been talking a lot about drugstore make up lately, but…it’s true, I have found a lot of great products at the drug store!

I always use concealer. Even if I don’t wear a lot of foundation, a little concealer can go a long way. For the most part, I have always used MAC studio finish or moisture cover concealer. They usually do the trick. I also love Bobbi Brown’s correctors and concealers! But- it’s really nice when you can find something really inexpensive that does the trick. 

I recently went to help my mom pick out some new make up. We ended up getting the Physicians Forumula Concealer Twin in Yellow/light. It has two ends which help correct and camouflage different areas.

When we got home , I tried a little on myself and quickly realized I loved the texture, consistancy and coverage of this concealer. It’s more drying than most , but goes on smoothly. It also dries down matte, which I personally like when trying to conceal areas. 

I’ve found too many times that concealers for me just glide off my skin, or are too creamy. I would not recommend this for dry, mature skin types. I would recommend it more for those who get oily, or have combination skin.  At my local Target this was close to $7. 

The pinker side is perfect for concealing small blemishes and to brighten under the eyes. The yellow side I use in very small amounts to conceal any areas that appear a little more pink like around the nose, and cheeks.

Talk about Cute Packaging- Boots No.7 Poppy King Limited Edition Lipstick Collection

Hey Guys!

Have you been to your local Target and seen the display with these on it??

Look at how adorable this packaging is! I absolutely love bright colors, and polka dots, together they look amazing! This is a limited edition lipstick and lip gloss collection from boots No.7 and Poppy King. King is an Australian entrepeneur who is best known for her company Poppy Industries and her range of cosmetics. King was inspired by Marilyn Monroe for these lipsticks and glosses. 

I tried the shade “glamour”, in both the  lipstick and gloss. It is a very sophisticated pink color. Not only has this lipstick formula been one of my favorites, the color is one that I’ve been wearing all the time. I LOVE it. It has a really pretty sleek purple tube.

The gloss is a really pretty everyday color but is not as long wearing as some other glosses I like. However, it is a really nice sheer formula for something very natural and easy to wear. 

I will definitely be going back to look at the other shades of lipsticks since I love the formula so much. It’s very creamy, not too shiny , not too matte and has great color pay off. Here are some photos of what the color “glamour” looks like on.

Rimmel Lasting Finish PRO- Wild Orchid

Hi Guys,

I wanted to share my nail polish color of the moment. It is Wild Orchid by Rimmel London, Lasting Finish PRO. This is my first time trying any of the nail polish by Rimmel London. So, I wanted to see how they work!

These nail polishes cost around $2.97. This color caught my eye…and the fact that it said, “up to 10 days” on it. Hopefully it will last a few days longer than some other polishes I’ve tried.

I also really loved the polish bottle and brush on this. It is a thicker brush which I feel makes the nail polish go on quicker and less streaky.

I guess we will see how it goes! There were a few other colors from this collection that looked really pretty. So if I like it , I may have to go back and get more. It’s like a greyish taupe.
