Today I want to share some more women’s fragrances either to give you an idea or a gift for someone or a gift for yourself. These are a few definitely worth checking out.

Delicious Cotton Candy by Gale Hayman. If you know someone who likes sweet sugary scents, this is the ultimate sweet scent. This is probably for a girly girl who loves sweet fragrances. Even the bottle is girly. It’s all pink and the top is a pink leopard.  The fragrance notes include: citruses, bergamot, cotton candy, lilly of the valley, fig leaves, brown sugar, licorice, vanilla, caramel, cedarwood, and musk.  You can find this fragrance on FragranceNet.com . EVAmour from Eva Longoria. Normally, I am not a fan of Celebrity fragrances. In the past I have not been able to find any that I find unique. But, I have now tried Eva and Evamour, both in the Eva Longoria fragrance line and both I just LOVE. Evamour is the newest scent. It comes in a beautiful red and gold bottle. This scent is deeper, and more sultry then the first fragrance, Eva , which is lighter. It opens with juicy notes of bergamot blossom, pink lady apple and red currant. Tiger lily, rose, frangipani and pink peony form the floral heart of the fragrance, followed by the warm base of woody and musky tones, amber and vanilla orchid.

Tresor Midnight Rose from Lancome.  This is definitely a more “sophisticated” scent. The bottle is very beautiful and the scent is very feminine.It contains:

Top Notes: Raspberry, Black currant bud absolute
Middle Notes: Rose absolute, Jasmine
Base Notes: Vanilla, Musk

Perfect Scent for Valentines Day- After My Own Heart..INEKE

Hey Guys!

Valentines Day is coming up and Love is always a great thing to celebrate! I will be gone in Kenya during the LOVE day but I’m sure it will be a day to remember. I’ll try to post a blog and tell you guys how I spend my Valentines Day in Kenya.

Recently, after trying a fragrance sampler from Ineke I discovered a fragrance I LOVE and have never come across one like it. I only had a small vile tube and now I’m dying to get a large bottle of this perfume. It’s called , “After My Own Heart” and the fragrance smells like Fresh Sweet Lilacs. It’s the perfect scent not only for valentines day but for spring!

Isn’t this just perfect for Valentines day?? It has a heart right on the bottle! (Look close.)

“After my own Heart” also includes notes of bergamot, Raspberry, Crisp Green Foliage, Sandlewood, Heliotrope and musk.

I need to get my hands on this fragrance, it’s one of my absolute favorites I’ve ever tried.

Another product I want to rave about is a rather strange one but it’s dish soapIt’s the Dawn Hand renewal with OLAY beauty. It’s the purple kind scented Lavender Silk. It says it improves the look and feel of hands in 5 uses. I have always had a problem with dish soap because my hands always feel super dried out after hand washing dishes. Since we don’t have a dishwasher , this is rather important to me. This dish soap is the best! My hands never feel too dry after using it and they almost feel better. It says that it “helps winter hands seal in moisture”. And, I’d have to say that it does! BEST HAND SOAP I’VE EVER USED. It smells good too!

Luxury Perfume and Candles~ Tocca Beauty

Hi Guys!

Tocca, the brand meaning “Touch” in Italian is a luxurious clothing, and beauty brand. I know it for its fragrances and candles. The first time I saw Tocca products I was in an Anthropology store and saw the beautiful perfume bottles.  

I think an important thing about fragrance is not only the smell itself but the bottle it comes in. Fragrance is something that always sparks the memory to feel something or remember something and the bottle adds to that feeling.  I just love the way these look!

Tocca’s candles and perfumes are named with female names. My favorite of all the names and scents is ”Bridgette”. These were even named after the famous french model and actress “Bridgette Bardot”.

I like these two because like I said a fragrance can often do..it reminds me of New York. When I was modeling and acting in New York, some of the makeup artists on set used to call me “baby Bridgette” after Bridgette Bardot. I did a photo shoot channeling Ms. Bardot…here is a special treat, some of those shots.

PACIFICA Fragrances

Hey Everyone!

Aren’t beauty products fun?? I have a fragrance “gift recommendation” for you guys. It is Pacifica fragrances. Pacifica makes fragrance, candles, body lotion, body wash, soap and body butters.

I think it was when I was in 8th or 9th grade , but I used to spend a long time scanning the shelves at Sephora. In the fragrance section I remember the PACIFICA fragrance bottles really drawing my attention. I’m a very visual person, and I always thought these bottles and boxes were so visually enticing! Look BELOW , Aren’t they so fun!??

When I first discovered Pacifica, I think my mom got me a fragrance for christmas or something. This was my first one, and I LOVED IT. It’s called WAIKIKI PIKAKE. The name means peacock and jasmine, it smells of delicious sandalwood and jasmine. It’s probably my favorite scent I have discovered from the line…but I have not smelled all of them! I also first tried this spray perfume, which is what I am most used to. These retail for $22. NOT BAD!

 

The other two scents I have tried are the newest one, California Star Jasmine and the Tuscan Blood Orange. Out of the two of these I’d have to say I like the tuscan blood orange better just because it smells so much of orange. It smells sweet and delicious and if you like oranges , you’d love this! The california star jasmine is a little too jasmine smelling for me. But, the Waikiki Pikaki is better! (In my opinion)

Also, I tried the roll on perfume and the solid perfume. The roll on is easier to apply then the solid but they both seem to stay on just as long. If I had to choose between spray, roll on and solid, I would choose the spray perfume.

Roll on retails for $12.00 and the solid retails for $9.00. I’m telling you they make a really cute little gift for someone who loves scents.

Dark Kiss~ Bath and Body Works

Hey Everyone!

What do you all think of Bath and Body Works? I’ve watched many beauty reviews on B&B works candles, but I haven’t seen too much on the fragrances and body products.

Growing up, I had lots of B&B works products. I remember in 8th grade, I had the Moonlight Path Scent and I loved it. Now, every time I smell it I think of 8th grade and all the memories come flooding back. But, my point is that in my 20′s I haven’t had too many of their products.

I was recently sent some things from the DARK KISS collection. I received an Eau de Toilette, a body lotion and shower gel to try. When I try products, the real test for me is if I continuously use them day after day, week after week. And, the eau de toilette and shower gel have been products I have been using quite frequently.

 

 

What I love about this fragrance is that it smells very sweet, slightly rich in a berry scent but with a little musk to it. It’s not too fruity, and reminds me a bit of  Aquolina Pink Sugar. Here’s what’s inside:

 

 

Top Notes: Bergamot, Incense, Mirabelle Plum, Black Raspberry

Mid Notes: Amber, Burgundy Rose, Geranium, Peony

Base Notes: Dark Vanilla Bean, Labdanum, Vetiver, Sensual Balsam, Musks

 I think it’s a very sexy but sweet fragrance and love this scent for fall. I also think the purple colors with silver in the packaging are very pretty. The looks alone would make me want to buy this fragrance. Dark Kiss Eau de Toilette retails for $29.50 and the shower gel retails for $10.50.  You can find out more on the Bath and Body Works Website!
