Makeup Tips for your Photo Session + Glam Sessions with Lindas Photography

Hey Guys!

I have teamed up with Linda’s Photography in Delano  this year to do makeup for what they call “Glam Sessions.” They are Senior Photo Sessions that are closer to 4 hours with as many outfit and background changes as you want in that time and you get to work with me as your makeup artist to achieve awesome fun and glam looks that you wouldn’t normally do on your own. You can also have a hair stylist there if you want more awesome hair options.

I love doing makeup for senior pictures, because it seems like just yesterday that I was getting mine done, and I remember how EXCITED I was for them. For most girls this is the one big photo shoot just for themselves they’ll ever experience. So, I think Glam Sessions are a fabulous idea because why not make it extra special and fun!?

Here are some tips if you are doing your own makeup for your photo session.

Hope you all enjoyed this video and found it helpful if you are going to be having your photos taken. If you are a Senior in highschool and are going to be graduating in 2014-check out whatLinda’s Photography has to offer and maybe I’ll see you at your Glam Session!

Celebrity Brand-ICEBOX Makeup Case + Makeup & Accessory Haul

Hey Guys!

I hope everyone is having an amazing month of May. I am LOVING the warmer weather. As the saying goes, “You really appreciate something when it’s gone.” It has  been such a long winter…and now that warm weather is here, I feel so happy. :)

One of the things that always goes along with collecting makeup is organizing. I feel like I’m in a constant state of organizing.  I have found a girls DREAM ORGANIZER! It’s a clear acrylic case called the ICEBOX by Sherriblossom. It is beautiful, sturdy, clear and holds lots of makeup. Many celebrities have this case ..it is the most luxurious of storage units. I’m so lucky! Go check out the cases for yourselves here.

I have switched up the background of my videos. Since all my content is mostly beauty related I decided to change where I film. Hope you guys enjoy this video.

Also, if you missed it, I posted a haul of some new summer accessories, and new lip products I got. If you haven’t seen this video yet, definitely check it out! I found some new $2 ELF lip products that I had to test out and share.

Love,

Lauren

Back to School Beauty 2012 Part 2- All About Makeup

Hey Guys!

The other day I wrote about some great beauty products to get you ready for back to school. Today I want to continue that and share with you some of my favorite makeup items for back to school season. These are a few of the things that I am loving right now and that I think would be helpful for back to school season.

The first items are eye shadow palettes. There are two in particular that are out now that have peaked my attention that I think anyone would love. One is the SHE WEARS IT WELL Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills.  It is a perfect mix of  9 matte and shimmery eyeshadows that are all neutral enough to wear everyday or make and evening smokey eye look from. The palette retails for $34 and is a great value for the quality and convenience of this palette.

The next palette (or set) I should say is the new Majestic Jungle Collection by Glow Minerals. This is a beautiful fall makeup set that comes with a cute makeup bag, gloss and eye makeup palette complete with 8 rich  fall colors and 2 eyeliners. This is one of the most gorgeous fall eye shadow palettes I have seen. My only gripe about it is that the colors although rich and pigmented, have a little fallout when you swipe your brush in there, so just be sure to tap of your brush before applying to avoid a mess. This retails for $80.

The Sigma Performance Eye Kit is a must-have brush set. You may have regular makeup brushes, but do you have the performance eye brushes? These are tiny precise brushes that are great for anyone who wants to create more precise eye looks, or if you have smaller eyes these are perfect size for you to contour and create precise definition between multiple shadow eye looks. This kit comes with 8  brushes and retails for $55.

As you might know already, I love BB creams. And, I think everyone should have one. The Loreal youth Code BB cream  is a really great drugstore buy if you’re looking to try one. Those of you who don’t like to wear a lot of foundation or just want a quick easy one step product to apply, this is your answer, it evens out your skin, illuminates skin, perfects flaws, moisturizes, corrects and provides spf 15. I would recommend this for anyone who has normal, combination or dry skin. Since it illuminates it may make oil skin look more oily. Check it out , it retails for  around $16.99 at most drugstores.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what some of my makeup picks were for back to school beauty. If you have any questions about the items above, leave them in the comments below or e-mail me.

And, check out my Lovelo Beauty Facebook Page for more pictures, and info on what I’m up to. :)

Anna and Brent Engagement Photos -Makeup Obsessed Monday

Hey Guys!

Today’s Monday, so that means I will talk about something “Makeup Inspired”. This weekend I did makeup for Anna who just got engaged this past week! The photos turned out beautiful and I wanted to show you all her makeup . We did a classic brown smokey eye with dark brown liner on both her top and bottom lid. We used a subtle bronzer for her cheeks and a really natural lipstick color.

Great Finds in June -Hands and Nails

Hi Beautiful Friends !

I appreciate all of your subscriptions and entries in my latest giveaway for Breda Watches! I will draw a winner in about a week and I’m very excited for one of you to win. Here is the link if you have not yet entered! http://lovelo.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/trendy-affordable-breda-watch-giveaway/

I want to share with you guys some of my great finds for keeping your nails and hands looking more beautiful. These discoveries will most likely be in my collection for a long time.

Garden Botanika Skin Renewing Hand Treatment with AHA complex. This is a silky smooth hand lotion that really helps “repair” my dry hands. I actually keep this in my car to use every time I’m driving or going to and from work. I do this because then I know I will use it and I’m adding moisture to my hands and nails. This hand treatment has a very sweet citrus scent and leaves my hands feeling soft!  I also use this to rub into my cuticles for healthier nails!

Orly PolishSheild and Orly Flash Dry. Both of these contribute to shiny longer lasting polish! The Polish shield is a 3 in 1 topcoat that helps protect, prevent chipping, and add shine to polish. It is a quick drying formula and helps with color fading.

The orly flash dry comes in a dropper bottle. This product helps accelerate recently polished nails. You just apply one or two drops over your polished nails to help it dry faster and keep the color locked in. This REALLY works. It speeds up drying time!!

I also picked up a nail color, that may not be so “summer-ish” but it’s a beautiful color. It’s OPI’s Jade is the new black. I LOVE this color.

Have a great night everyone!
