My Beauty Collection -I Love Organization!

Hey Guys!

Honestly, this may sound nerdy…but one of my favorite things to do is to organize. I love things to look, clean, and simplified.  The container store is one of my favorite stores ever because it has such cute ideas for organization. My beauty collection has had many changes over the years. You have to work with what you have and the space you are allowed.

In our first apartment that we lived, this was my set up:

Now, that we’re in a house it’s morphed into something that looks sort of like this:

 

I love watching videos on how people organize and clever ideas on storage. How do you keep things organized??

Sometimes it’s the Little Things…Like Iced Tea

As I sit here and write this, I’m laying in bed with the dog on my left hand side, and the cat on my right hand side. It’s moments like this that I realize I like the little moments and little things in life.

Sometimes, there is too much big stuff that get’s in the way of recognizing the little things we love. When you are bogged down with problems that seem too large to handle, I urge you to look at the little things in your life that are so good. The simple pleasures. One of my favorite simple pleasures is iced tea. ESPECIALLY in the summer.

I make big pitchers of iced tea at home but I also LOVE the green iced tea at Starbucks. I bought the same kind and make it myself, but it never tastes the same as getting it there. It’s little things like iced tea, painting my nails, candles, a clean house, going outside and playing fetch with the dog, flowers for the house…that make getting through a rough time much better!

Tribute to Kandee Johnson & Appreciating the People in Your Life

Hey Guys,

Hope you all had a great weekend and Fathers Day…I hope you spent time with your dads (if you were able). I wanted to write about something today that has been on my heart and that is, appreciating the people in your life.  You may not believe what I believe but I think God places people in your life to help you get through your time on earth…we are given families, friends, and are meant to have loving people around us.

One of the “beauty guru’s” that I have looked up to since I started blogging was Kandee Johnson. If you have never seen her amazing Youtube videos or seen her Blog, you should DEFINITELY check it out. She is not only an amazing make up artist, and all around beauty expert, but…she’s seems like an amazing woman. She has 4 children, and is always so bubbly and happy and spreading lots of love and inspirational words in everything she does. 

She lost her dad a few days ago. Just a few days before Fathers day. And, words can’t even describe how that made me feel. I have never met Kandee , nor seen her in person…but through her videos and posts she puts out, I FEEL like I know her…and have always admired her. So, this Fathers day, I really wanted to just spend TIME with my dad because I feel like time is really the most precious gift we can give someone. 

I can’t imagine going through what she must be feeling right now. And, her recent post on her blog was about her relationship with her dad and how she doesn’t know when or how she will continue to write about beauty. My weekend in Photos- Wedding Attire, Husbands Birthday, Car Lashes and More…

Hey Guys!

Today, I wanted to wrap up my weekend by showing you some fun photos I took with all of my activities this weekend. I had a wedding on Friday that was fun to get dressed up for, a baby shower Saturday, as well as my husbands birthday celebration. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Those are my shoes, purse, nails and make up from the night of the wedding.

Dr.Seuss was the theme of the baby shower…and there were adorable sugar cookies. Next to that photo is my husband with some birthday dessert. 

And, last but not least…I saw these hilarious car lashes on the car parked in front of us at the restaurant. Isn’t that just adorable?!!!

haha… it seems perfect for someone who does “eyelash extensions”!!! But, I don’t know if I could be that daring.

Lovelo Beauty and MOPS Pampering Day

Yesterday I was blessed with the opportunity to volunteer some time doing make up for MOPS (which stands for Mothers of Pre Schoolers)  pampering day. There were some other businesses there giving their time to some of  the women involved in MOPS through massage, hair styling, make up and more..

 

I  feel fortunate to have been asked to participate.

In Honor Of Fathers Day… Products for Men :)

Hey Everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful day and got to spend time with the “Dad” in your life. If you all have not seen already, I am hosting a Breda Watch Giveaway. Now, for the fathers day “beauty products”. I never got a post up recommending gift ideas for dad. But, I have some men’s products anyway to share with you all today!

The first is cologne. It’s the Perry Ellis Platinum Cologne for men. It smells absolutely wonderful. My husband was lucky enough to receive a sample of this and he has been wearing it for the last couple weeks and I love this. It’s very masculine but not too over the top.

The second product is a men’s eye cream called, Eye Fuel by Kyoku. This product line is sold exclusively at Barney’s. Women aren’t the only ones who use eye cream, men do too. This “Eye Fuel” , tightens , brightens and reduces lines underneath the eye. It feels lightweight, goes on creamy and feels very hydrating. My husband has also been my test subject on this! He likes the way this feels, the only thing is getting him to remember to use it! He knows it’s good for him .

Some other random beauty gift ideas from men (I got these from realizing what my husband likes), are:

A good facial exfoliator- because there is truly nothing better than a smooth face.

Deodorant- men can never have enough, they always run out, and they’re definitely gonna need it!

Facial moisturizer- my husband is always digging through my products for a lightweight, non greasy, fragrance free facial moisturizer.  They may not admit it, but they will use it!

Shaving cream- this is an obvious one…but if you have a husband or dad who doesn’t like to shave get him an electric razor.

Lovely…For Inspiration and Encouragement
