New for Makeup Brush Washing: SIGMA Spa Brush Cleaning Glove

Hey Guys!

I’m so excited today. Sigma launched a new product yesterday that is so fun and changes how I feel about washing my makeup brushes. It’s a new tool that makes washing your brushes easier. It looks like a oven mitt but it’s the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove.

As a makeup artist, I love this glove because it makes washing dozens of brushes faster and easier. Not to mention, I don’t have to ruin my nail polish because my hands don’t even have to touch water.

The glove has a silicone outside which is easy to wash ,very durable, and gentle on your makeup brushes.  It has a microfiber inside which keeps your hand from sweating and keeps it cozy and comfortable in the glove while you wash your brushes. It comes in 4 colors and retails for $39. Is it worth it? YES! It makes cleaning your brushes easier and more effective; it’s definitely worth the money. The little groves on the glove help to really suds up the soap and deep clean your brush! Check out the glove on the sigma website here.

Check out the video I made demonstrating how this is used. :)

Burgundy/Red Nail polish for Fall 2012!

Hey Guys!

I wanted to share my latest Fall nail polish love. I’m over bright colors and into dark rich colors. This burgundy/red color I found is my favorite right now for fall. The color I’m wearing is called, “Red Zin” from Sally Hansen’s Salon Manicure line.

Not only do I love this color, but the nail polish brand itself is one of my favorites. This polish stays on really well, and doesn’t chip off as easily as most other brands I’ve tried. It is a base coat, polish and top coat in one.

One tip I have to share is that  many times ULTA stores have clearances on some of their discontinued or out of season colors. Normally, this brand Salon Manicure by Sally Hansen costs about $6.99- $7.50.But, I found this color on clearance for $1.99!

What are some of your favorite nail polish trends and colors for Fall??

Fall Nail Trends 2012: Dark Denim Blue, Oxblood, Metallics

Hey Guys!

I’ve been looking through the latest issues of Allure and Elle Magazine, and realized a nail polish trend that seems to be something I’m gravitating towards for Fall. I think some of the hottest nail looks for Fall are:

Dark Denim Blue: My personal favorite nail color of the moment!

Oxblood/ Burgundy: Which is not just popular for nails, it’s this Fall’s “It Color” for all things fashion.

Zoya Nail PolishParker Faux-Leather Pants, Burgundy

Metallics. Fun and trendy, I think you’re going to see a lot of metallics this fall!

Hope you enjoyed this Fall nail trend report. If you enjoyed this don’t forget to subscribe and check out my facebook page, to follow me and my blog more closely.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure-All 5 Manicure Steps in a bottle

Hey Guys!

I’m picky when it comes to nail polish. I love to paint my nails, but don’t like how easily it chips off. I can never seem to keep nail polish on my nails for more than 2 days.

I have written about the Rimmel polish that I love and is very long lasting, but I’ve found another that really is better than any others I’ve tried, Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure; it is better than any high end brands I’ve tried like OPI and Essie.

It claims to be 5 steps in one, including base coat and top coat. I have found that this polish comes in a wide variety of colors, is super thick and shiny and it stays on my nails a good 3-4 days before I feel like I need to take it off.

Salon manicure by Sally Hansen costs about $7 , but it’s worth it for me to spend that on a polish that will last longer than most. My two favorite colors right now are the  ” Shall we Dance?” ( a soft pink) and “shrimply devine” , a bright coral pink.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! If you have any questions, feel free to send them to : Lauren@lovelobeauty.com

Remember: We can adorn ourselves with things of this world to make us feel beautiful on the outside, but our actions and relationships with others , the qualities that make us beautiful people are far more important.

Color Inspiration- Bright Orange and Pink Nails

I absolutely love that bright colors are in for spring and summer.  Pink and orange are one of my favorite color combinations. Any shade of pink and any shade of orange…it’s definitely a feminine color combination.

Bright summer nails inspired by  the orange and pink color combination. (The color is not showing up very well in the photo..but they were very bright. ) I used Sally Hansen’s Extreme Wear color Sun Kissed, Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Pro in Sunset Orange and New York Summer’s Hot Rocket Pink Nail polish.

What are some of your favorite nail color combinations this spring and summer? What colors inspire you?

My Nail Polish Collection/Organization

Hey Everyone!

I have recently been nail polish obsessed. All of the fun bright colors of spring have inspired my nail designs. But, there is one little problem with a huge nail polish collection- storage and organization! For months now I have been trying to figure out how to organize my nail polish collection.

I wanted to find a spice rack or something like it for the wall, but instead I found clear shoe drawers at the Container Store. I got 5 clear drawers that you can stock on top of one another. I coordinated them by color. Here is a short video showing how I organize and store my nail polish collection.

Just to preface: This is years worth of nail polish as well as collections I’ve received to review. :)

If you have some cool ideas of how to store nail polish or more organizational tips, please leave your comments below.

Thanks!

Love,

Lauren
